Her-Story

The "history" of Lamb's Gate

As the shop proprietor I couldn't miss this opportunity to thank you for stopping in and share a little bit of Lambs' Gate Antiques history with you! I hope you enjoy the selection of antiques and collectible finds offered from Lambs' Gate Antiques and The Salvage Yard.
Carol of Lambs Gate Antiques
Lambs' Gate opened it's doors in 2001 on a wintry March day in Michigan in an old church building in the quaint town of Grand Ledge. My good friend Roxann Mills and I both had empty nests and too much creative energy to sit still. So, with my love of all things antique & vintage, and Roxann's interior design experience, we took the giant leap and started Lambs' Gate Interiors & Antiques.

Roxann has since gone on to other adventures, and the shop no longer offers interior design services...but those early days taught us both a lot and forged a strong friendship.

In 2004 Lambs' Gate Antiques re-located to its current location, another historical building in downtown Grand Ledge...a bigger, and more visible location for us. "The Salvage Yard" owned by Ruth Creyts was added to our second floor that same year and I have welcomed the addition of more "retro" and a bit of the unusual that you will often find as you venture upstairs.

My mission is to have a shop that offers fresh, functional, and ever changing merchandise with fair prices for everyones budget. My customers have become my friends...and I hope that as you enter our "gates" you will want to become one of our "regulars".

Happy shopping!
